Worf's Vacation in HDRi by LightDrop Worf's Vacation in HDRi by LightDrop
This is another render from the flojoa-terrain I did some weeks ago; settings are mostly the same as on 'Glowing Mist' -> [link] but this is in HDRi. This time I did basic HDR-settings in Photoshop CS5, exported as JPEG, opened this one up again in PS and did conventionally postwork for not overdo the HDRish-look...

Your comments/opinions are welcome - I keep the *.PSD and do some changes if I'll get good suggestions... :D

Hope you like it!

Thanks so much Elly! BTW - did you ever experiment yourself with the HDR-feature of the SO-pack?

I haven't in fact ever since Terragen 2 I have been kind of off the program. Even though the results are so stunning now the user interface just drove me nuts! Now I am not even sure where I kept the Key file. I may have to buy it all over again...

The user interface is really a pain in the ass on TG2; sometimes I messing around with it, done some renders also but never published one cause in fact I've always used the world files of other people just altered the pov. The results are stunning indeed - if you went for realism; the otherworldly look of atmos in 0.9 isn't achievable in V2, if you set extreme atmo-settings, the app set it back to 'normal' values... So I go with the good old 0.9 further - even if I might publish a V2-render one day.
But I don't think you have to buy it again Elly - the people on planetside are tolerant on this what I've seen on the forums there; just submit them the mail-addy you purchased it originally and they will send you a keyfile... :D

I am feeling so much better that I'm not the only one stumped by TG2. I felt like such a klutz when I couldn't get anything to work they way I wanted... I think when I have some time on my hands I have to get back to it and see if I can approach it with a fresh mind. And you are right about the developers, much more user-friendly than any of the large industrial providers where you're just a nobody when you need some help!
